Describe the Issue or Situation.
In 2024, the 4-H Livestock club grew from one member to ten under the leadership of a newly recruited 4-H livestock club leader. In addition, the Extension Office built a brand new livestock/horse arena beside the new office. When these two items merged, a connection to agriculture happened for 10 Todd County youth and their families.
Describe the Outreach or Educational Program Response (and Partners, if applicable).
Livestock club members showed sheep at the first Todd County Fair in the new Extension arena and traveled all over the state showing and winning in many of the local and area county fairs. Additionally, under the leadership of Billy Carter and teen leader, Meredith Hampton, the youth won top honors at nearly every county fair they visited; won Grand Champion Hair Sheep at the Kentucky State Fair and won the Herdsman Award proving that this club had the best overall display, the cleanest work area, best kept lambs and the most spirit!

100% gained patience, perseverance and sportsmanship in dealing with wins and losses and learning curves throughout the summer lamb project.
