Montgomery County presented Plate it up! Kentucky Proud to 12 participants. After the program, 100% increased their knowledge regarding how the Plate it up! Kentucky Proud program is a consumer education partnership. 100% of participants expressed aspirations to try a Plate it up! Kentucky Proud recipe. 80% of participants indicated plans to prepare and/or preserve locally grown commodities. The Plate it up! Kentucky Proud program can potentially demonstrate positive change in both knowledge and behavior. Increasing the consumption of fruits and vegetables has the potential to save on food costs and healthcare costs.
