The Covid -19 Virus has affected our everyday life, our businesses, our economy and our livelihoods. To help our clientele meet the challenges caused by this pandemic, extra efforts have been made to present important information while maintaining the required health guidelines . Examples of these efforts include: The July/August and the September/October Editions of the Montgomery County Extension Agriculture News & Events Newsletter were mailed out to 1035 clients per newsletter. These Newsletters announced to clientele the application period for the Montgomery County Agricultural Investment Program (CAIP) and virtual educational requirement opportunities; The . opening of the Montgomery County Farmers Market under Covid Guidelines; Sign-Up dates and information about the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP); and many other virtual Field Days, Trainings, Certifications, Webinars and Programs designed to assist Farmers in general, Beef Producers, Forage Producers, Grain Producers, Tobacco Producers, Horticulture Producers, Pond Owners and Homeowners. Other timely informational articles were also included in these newsletters. The Montgomery County Extension Agriculture and Horticulture Facebook Page has posted many of these same items. Many of these items have also been used in the ANR agents weekly newspaper articles and two weekly radio programs reaching an audience of over 15000. We are doing our best to still serve our Extension Clientele during these historically trying times.
