Author: Sandra Kennedy

Planning Unit: Clark County CES

Major Program: Accessing Nutritious Foods (general)

Outcome: Long-Term Outcome

Using the Healthy Choices for Every Body curriculum,  Budgeting your Monies, 17 parents and their children made shopping lists of the items they needed using a simple method only purchasing what was on the list, including healthy snacks.

After examining the cupboards, they proceeded to make their list, adding in store ads, sale items, and digital coupons.

After reviewing their list, 10 out of the 17 saved $20 dollars on their grocery purchases  by using their shopping  list, clipping coupons, in store ads, and  choosing healthy snacks of fruits and vegetables they prepared themselves.
