The University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) program participated as a vendor at Farm Family Night, an annual event that connects local families with valuable agricultural and community resources. At our booth, we provided free kitchen items and educational materials on healthy family meals to over 250 families, reinforcing the importance of nutrition and home-cooked meals.
By engaging directly with attendees, we increased awareness of simple, cost-effective ways to prepare balanced meals, promoting overall family well-being. Many participants expressed appreciation for the practical tools and recipes, with several indicating they planned to incorporate healthier cooking habits at home. The event successfully strengthened community ties while advancing the mission of FCS Extension—empowering individuals and families to lead healthier, more sustainable lives.
