The Robertson County Extension Office recently hosted an unforgettable event that left attendees raving — the Charcuterie Class. Over the course of two days, 20 eager participants gathered to explore the art and craft of charcuterie.

The class focused on teaching essential charcuterie techniques, turning the creation of salami roses and prosciutto ribbons into an enjoyable and educational experience. Participants not only learned the intricacies of crafting these culinary delights but also discovered innovative ways to save money on high-quality ingredients, making charcuterie accessible to all.

One of the highlights of the class was delving into the nuances between cured and uncured salami, offering a deeper understanding of the flavors and textures that each process imparts. This insight added a layer of sophistication to the participants' culinary knowledge.

Emphasizing the importance of food safety practices, the class ensured that every attendee left with not only a newfound skill set but also a commitment to preparing and serving charcuterie in a safe and hygienic manner.

Each participant received a personalized charcuterie tray to be showcased during holiday gatherings. The tangible takeaway added a special touch to the class, allowing attendees to share their newfound skills with friends and family.

The feedback echoed throughout the community after the Charcuterie Class was resoundingly positive. Attendees unanimously declared it the best class offered by the Extension Office thus far, highlighting the perfect blend of education, creativity, and community building. The class not only expanded culinary horizons but also created lasting memories and connections among the participants.

In the quaint corners of Robertson County, the Extension Office continues to be a beacon of learning and community engagement. The Charcuterie Class stands as a shining example of how a shared passion for food and knowledge can bring people together, leaving a lasting impact on the community's culinary landscape.
