As we all know, grocery shopping has been more expensive now compared to previous years. One of the best ways we can stretch our dollar is by educating ourselves on food preservation. In the month of September, I hosted a pickling booth at Fleming County's Farmers Market. At this booth, I taught a lesson to those who were able to attend this booth on how to pickle garden products. They were able to sample the difference between a store bought pickle and 'homemade' pickle. One of the ladies who attend this booth took the recipe and information I had given her and tried pickling all on her own!
