Air Fryers have become the newest kitchen appliance that is a must for those wanting to have their fried foods without all the saturated fats, salts, and cholesterol. To increase consumer awareness of the versatility of an air fryer, the Ballard County FCS agent hosted the All Things Air Fryer program. The program discussed the what an air fryer is, how it works, the health benefits, and all the uses. Along with comparing the appliance to traditional frying methods. FCS agent also gave a demonstration on how to make muffins in an air fryer; showing that this appliance is from more than just making savory foods. When face-to-face social interaction came to a halt in March 2020, University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Family & Consumer Science agents turned to video technology to stay connected during the COVID-19 pandemic. Social media platforms became flooded with information to assist families with research-based information.

One hundred and thirty-six people were reached via Facebook and YouTube with this program, 94% reported that after the session they had a better understanding of an air fryer. 90% of participants could see the health and wellness benefits from switching to using an air fryer. 95% of participants said they would change from traditional frying methods to using an air fryer.
