Beef cattle production is still an important component of the Fayette County agricultural economy. Both cow/calf and stocker/backgrounder operations are having to evolve and improve management practices every year to remain active financially. Genomic testing, MGAs for Estrous synchronization, and BVD-PI testing in cattle are the specific topics that were covered. A better understanding and education of these latest practices and technologies will only improve beef cattle producers' efficiency and financial stability. Attendance for this program was 25.
