Scott County 4-H Agent were able to get 100 pumpkins donated from local farms for the project. Youth signed up through Qualtrics form.  Scott County 4-H Youth Development agent and Horticulture agent collaborated to make a pumpkin fact sheet to include in the bag. Bags included several snap-ed recipes and pumpkin recipes to make tasty treats for dogs, along with fun activities and crafts. Youth were able to enter a pumpkin carving and/or decorating contest by email their pumpkins to the Scott County 4-H Agent. Through the Pumpkin Week Project Porch youth have learned about the agriculture of growing pumpkins, learned life skills in the kitchen making recipes, other life skills while working on the different projects.
