Outcome: Intermediate Outcome

In order to obtain service hours for school and academic clubs, a group of nine teens reached out to the Campbell County 4-H Agent to assist with or participate in service type projects. The 4-H agent planned a series of monthly Zoom project nights with the group. The agent also reached out to a former county camp counselor who is a director at a local assisted living facility. Any of the completed projects will be welcome at the facility to give to the residents. Over the past two months, the group has made ornaments, Pop Tart decorated houses, and holiday cards. For the next 5 months, the group will meet either virtually or in person if allowed to make other projects that are useful to the residents such as no-sew fleece lap blankets, paper snowflakes, flannel bears, lip balm, and felt pictures. A card component will also be added most months. One of the teens stated, "I love being able to do these crafts through the 4-H program! It is a way to give back and get involved in the community in a COVID friendly way while also spreading holiday cheer."  The director of the facility has expressed her appreciation for the projects multiple times and says the residents as well as the staff are enjoying them.
