Major Program: Empowering Community Leaders (general)
Plan of Work: Empowering Green County Community Leaders
Outcome: Initial Outcome
Members of Help, Hope and Hands have been helping others in the Green County community for meany years. The group first joined together and was focused on making sleeping mats for those in need. Those mats were distributed both locally and internationally. While they continue to work on sleeping mats, they have added additional projects within the group. Each year, they donate 100 cancer caps, make and distribute cancer care packages, sew pillowcase dresses, host the Community Baby Shower, assist with the Green County Holiday Bazaar and so much more. Additionally, they are always willing to share their story and knowledge with others. In February, group members traveled to a neighboring county to teach others how to fold, cut, and crochet plastic bags into sleeping mats. They are always willing and ready to inspire, educate and encourage!
