The day featured presentations from Dr. Kiersten Wise, Dr. Erin Haramoto, and Dr. Travis Legleiter as well as multiple graduate students from the weed science and plant pathology programs. The field day also included a walking tour of all the weed science research plots at the UKREC. The field day was attended by 30 farmers, crop consultants, Extension Agents, and industry representatives who represented approximately 111,000 acres of corn, soybean, and wheat from across Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, and Tennessee. Attendee survey’s indicated that the field day provided information that was worth an average of $12.25/ acre, for a total impact of approximately $1.4 million dollars.
