How 4-H has enhanced my life
Author: Heather Coleman
Planning Unit: Floyd County CES
Major Program: 4-H Youth Development Programming
Plan of Work: Youth Resource, Communication and Leadership Development
Outcome: Long-Term Outcome
“4-H to me has always been like my second family. When I was in third grade I was so excited about getting to be in 4-H the next year and go to camp. I just couldn’t wait! I wasn’t aware of what an impact on my life the experience would be or what a love I would soon develop for 4-H. I absolutely love being in a club, camp, its members and what we all stand for. Regardless of where I go or what I do I always seem to see someone from my 4-H family and immediately have the connection. I feel that being a member of 4-H has not only been a way of life for me but also a passion. I have grown into a more responsible individual with invaluable leadership skills and high morals due to my time and commitment through the 4-H Programs. I find that no matter what I do or where I go in life my experience and time with the program has enhanced my life, my abilities and influences anywhere else I may go. I thank 4-H and my awesome agent, Heather Nelson Coleman, for the experiences of a lifetime! The experiences, family and friends that I have made over the years will last a lifetime and will never be forgotten!” Andrea A.
