The addition of the UK Grain & Forage Center of Excellence has brought with it new researchers and extension specialists who are expanding Grain Crop research and updating information. The challenge for the UK Grain Crops group is the timely dissemination of this new and updated information.

Combining field demonstrations with current agronomic information relevant to decision making and education, is the balance we strive for at our annual Corn & Soybean Field day.  To better achieve this balance, the field day a new format. By providing 3 separate tours we were able to double the information available to growers, consultants and educators.  In addition, they are able to choose the tours that provide the information that best fits their needs.  The survey results and positive feedback confirmed the change was in the right direction, with 87% of those responding to the survey plan to make a change in 2019 based on the information presented at the 2018 Corn, Soybean and Tobacco Field Day.
