Women in Ag Conference

The University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Services in Carlisle, Ballard, Hickman, and Fulton counties along with the Farm Service Agency, hosted the 2018 Four River Counties Women in Agriculture Conference.  This year it was held at the Clinton Methodist Church.  There were 62 ladies in attendance.  The program included Tools for the Marketing Toolbox: Alex Hayes, Floral Design by Teresa Crouse, WAVE Overview with Hannah Chretien, and a Tax Update, followed by an update from Farm Service Agency.  Lunch was provided by River Valley Ag Credit and each participant received a goody bag of products from sponsors. Following the program the audience was surveyed. 85% said that they will look into their marketing plans to help their family farm.  Following the seminar 75% said that they felt capable of making better floral design decisions based on the floral presentation.  Also 98% said they had received information they could take back and put into good use.
