Outcome: Initial Outcome

Historically, in Bracken County, Augusta Independent students have been an underserved audience. Seeing this as a 4-H agent, I wanted to begin introducing 4-H to students in hopes that they would get involved in our programs. Understanding the impact that 4-H has on a young person’s life, I approached the school with the idea of developing a Cloverbud program in grades K-3rd. The primary goal of the Cloverbud program is to promote children's healthy development - mentally, physically, socially and emotionally. The Cloverbud program provides an excellent opportunity for children to reach their highest potential because early life experiences, even subtle ones, affect future development. Once a month, students are taught through hands on lessons and activities that incorporate the importance of 4-H and what it provides. It is my goal to have these students involved in not only the various summer programs but also to maintain their involvement in our 4-H program.
