Farmers continue to make improvements including fertility, improved seed varieties, and weed control. New products and technology are additional tools for farmers
Describe the Outreach or Educational Program Response (and Partners, if applicable).
Extension agent of UK & KSU joined worked together to host a pasture field day that featured 2 new pasture weed herbicides. The agents partnered with UK forage specialist, and Corteva Ag. A Barren County producer was identified and agreed to be a cooperator and host for the field day. Ag Agents and Corteva representative planned for 2 different fields to feature 2 different products with an untreated check in each field. The plots were sprayed and then field day was planned to showcase the results. The field day would also featured UK forage and beef specialist sharing successes that they helped achieve on this particular farm.
