A successful end-of-year send-off event was hosted by 2024-2025 MANNRS students from KYSU. The event was held on campus to serve as a farewell to the outgoing academic year and an opportunity for incoming agriculture students to connect with their peers before the fall semester. What made this event even more special was that the gathering included the Promising Youth Center and 4-H Youth Development, fostering a spirit of unity and engagement among young leaders in agriculture and STEM fields. 

Attendees were able to enjoy a variety of interactive activities from the 4-H curriculum that are designed to encourage teamwork and problem-solving. From games like the puzzle blind, tug and pull, and other hands-on agricultural activities, the event provided a lively atmosphere where students could bond over shared interests. "Special thanks to the Promising Youth Center for bringing the youth that day."

The collaboration between MANNRS, the Promising Youth Center, and 4-H Youth Development highlighted the importance of mentorship and outreach in building a strong agricultural community. The overall goal is to have the next MANNRS group serve as mentors for the youth between both programs, in which the youth are exposed to opportunities available in agriculture and natural resources to inspire the next wave of leaders.

As the academic year comes to an end, the MANNRS chapter at KYSU is already preparing for an exciting fall semester. With new partnerships forming and more students ready to get involved, the future looks bright for agricultural education and youth development at Kentucky State University. One student Jaiya McCargo had this to say, "This was such a great way to wrap up the year, seeing everyone come together, returning students, new faces, and our partners from 4-H and the Promising Youth Center was truly rewarding."
