Author: Amy Branstetter

Planning Unit: Metcalfe County CES

Major Program: Leadership

Plan of Work: Develop Individual Youth and Adults for Leadership Volunteer Roles

Outcome: Long-Term Outcome

Metcalfe County 4-H has a leader that has served in many roles over the past 32 years. His participation started by being a parent volunteer and has led to many other 4-H leadership positions.  He states "My most rewarding experience has been seeing youth become good adults.”

You may see him at our school, working with youth interested in starting a livestock project, Livestock judging events, forestry field days or collecting donations for upcoming 4-H events. This is just a few of his many volunteer roles in Extension.

He is very compassionate and enjoys working with youth.  He is always interested in helping a youth get started in 4-H.  He has impacted so many lives through his volunteer work with 4-H.   He says "Learning By Doing" that what kids need.

His years of service to 4-H has impacted not only 4-H members but also his own personal development.   Through his various leadership roles in 4-H, He has learned how important it is to work with the youth to enable them to become successful leaders.

He covers a very diverse group of students in Metcalfe County.

His many hours of hard work and dedication has made it possible for students to participate in many 4-H events, and provide a wide variety of 4-H programs for all ages of youth.   His dedication has enabled our 4-H program in Metcalfe County to continue to grow due to him will to work long hours in support of many 4-H programs.  He has been an amazing asset to the 4-H program. He continues to make the “Best Better”.
