Rabbit Club

Author: Rebecca Brown

Planning Unit: Breckinridge County CES

Major Program: Agriculture

Plan of Work: Building life skills among all ages

Outcome: Long-Term Outcome

The Breckinridge County 4-H Rabbit Club has been dedicated to equipping youth with knowledge and skills in leadership and agricultural awareness. Will Tucker has led the club for several years and has prepared Katelin Kasey and Brooke Guffey, who have been members since they were 9 years old, to take over as leaders for the 2025-2026 program year.

Both young women have a passion for teaching and are considering careers in agricultural education so they can share their enthusiasm with other youth. Throughout their 4-H journeys, they have developed numerous skills and are excited to build the Rabbit Club for future generations.

The Rabbit Club has seen various youth participants over the years, with a maximum of 14 members in one program year. Currently, there are 8 members enrolled, including volunteers.

Miss Kasey and Miss Guffey have a bright future ahead of them. Their passion for the Rabbit Club and their commitment to training youth in handling and showing rabbits is impressive. This progression exemplifies the value of experience; they began as 4-H members themselves and have now become aspiring leaders of the group. The lessons they learned during their time in 4-H have not only prepared them for today but have also equipped them for tomorrow.
