The International Center of Kentucky and Lifeskills, Incorporated located in Bowling Green, Kentucky allowed the Kentucky State University’s West Regional Center to hold programming classes and events within their establishments. The classes and events consisted of how to cope, calm, ease the mind, and preventive activities to reduce stress. Additional discussion of mental health and wellness was discussed. The International Center of Kentucky, 806 Kenton Street, Bowling Green, KY 42101 and Lifeskills Incorporated, 428 Center Street, Bowling Green, KY 42101 hosted these events held on February 14, 2024, and February 15, 2024. The Kentucky State University, Cooperative Extension Service, and West Regional Center representative provided information on Mental Health 101 and stress to seventy-one individuals. The classes and event attracted residents and families.

The materials presented gave insight into habits, choices, and alternatives for dealing with stress for participants. Participants were able to ask questions and receive feedback from the representative provided by a translator. The classes and event gave knowledge to participants on maintaining and obtaining healthy stress-free life events. The Kentucky State University, Cooperative Extension Service, West Regional Center is looking forward to the next event at International Center of Kentucky.
