The problem: New and tenured ANR agents are being asked to provide input on agricultural land rental rate survey

The educational program response: This Agent was asked to chair a committee of new and tenured agents regarding the question of  whether or not to conduct an agricultural land rental rate survey.

The participants/target audience: New and tenured agents, landowners and tenants

Other partners (if applicable) Seven other  ANR Agents with varying years of experience from across the commonwealth.

Program impact or participant response.: The committee decided that a survey should not be conducted at present time but rather a fact sheet that highlighted considerations when determining a fair an equitable rental rate.  This agent solicited input from the committee members and a fact sheet is in progress. A sub committee of the committee also suggested that a second fact sheet be considered  which would highlight the lease agreement terms or what goes into a lease agreement as well as the possibility  of an in service for ANR agents.
