Major Program: Accessing Nutritious Foods (general)
Outcome: Intermediate Outcome

In Laurel County the Nutrition Education Program assistant has been successful in changing food safety behaviors in 100% of the program participants. Enough evidence based research has been shared with participants that they now wash their hands before cooking, wash their hands after handling raw meats, clean surfaces to prevent contamination, and they no longer thaw items on the counter.
