The 2023 Taylor County Fair was held June 5th – 10th at the Taylor County Fairgrounds in Campbellsville Kentucky. The fair provides youth an opportunity to share their interests and passions with the community through the Beef Show, Dairy Show, Horse Shows, and Fair Projects Exhibits.

One 4-H Club received a great opportunity this year to learn and grow through the fair. The Taylor County Livestock Club contains a group of passionate youth and their families, excited and willing to share their love of animals.  Through this passion an unexpected fundraiser and leadership opportunity was created through Petting Zoos. They have organized and held multiple petting zoos over the past year, with the largest being at Taylor County Fair. At this event, youth were able to share fun facts, care and general information about their animals while interacting with the public. Youth learned event planning, budgeting, organization, and increased communication skills through this experience.

Taylor County 4-H youth were also able to share their passions with the community through the 2023 Taylor County Fair 4-H Exhibit Showcase. 26 youth exhibited 127 projects in the Showcase. Projects ranged from honeybees to a full-sized wheelbarrow that was recycled into fairy garden with live succulents. Projects were transported and display at the Fairgrounds for the public to view.
