Outcome: Initial Outcome

The problem-- BCTCS staff requested a training on how to "develop a small vegetable garden in a container"


The educational program response-- Workshop for trainings and "Hands-On" applications for starting a small home vegetable Garden.  Each of 22 participants, did training and used "Hands-On" to develope their own small container garden with a small tomato plant and edible flowers & lettuces.  Which they were able to take home and put on a patio to have fresh vegetables and salads all summer.


The participants/target audience-- Audience was staff of the Big Sandy Community and Technical College at the Pikeville campus.


Other partners (if applicable)--  BCTCS for advertising/organizing


Program impact or participant response.  22 individuals learned to plant and grow fresh tomatoes, lettuces, and edible flowers.  Plants were both beautiful and edible.
