The jerky and food safety workshop was an undeniable success, with all participants being able to correctly identify the steps needed to make jerky. This is a fantastic achievement and shows the effectiveness of the workshop’s content, as the proper steps in making jerky are crucial in ensuring the safety and quality of the product. Furthermore, 78% of participants stated that they felt more comfortable making jerky at home after attending the workshop. This is an essential outcome as it signifies a boost in the participants’ confidence, which could lead to increased consumption of homemade jerky, resulting in a healthier and more sustainable diet. Perhaps the most impressive outcome of the survey was that 60% of participants said that they would make jerky at home after attending the workshop. This data indicates a significant shift in behavior as it shows that the workshop inspired a desire in participants to take action in making their jerky. This outcome is not only impressive but highlights the effectiveness of the workshop in achieving its goals.

Food safety is paramount, especially in making jerk, and knowing the proper steps in producing jerky safely is crucial. The workshop's content not only taught participants how to make jerky but also stressed the importance of food safety, ensuring a quality product and avoiding any health risks associated with consuming improperly made jerky.
