Union/Henderson Co Grain Crop Short Course

Outcome: Initial Outcome

The Grain crops short course series was 4 weeks that was hosted by Union and Henderson Co ANR agents where 2 weeks were in one office and the other 2 in the other office. If producers attended 3 out of the 4 weeks then their private applicator license was renewed. There was an avg of 20 producer for each meeting. The topics that were discussed were grain drying and storage, grain hauling and moblie apps, corn diseases, weed control lessons and preparation for next crop season, soybean diseases, currently relevant topics, soil fertility and dicamba training. We were also able to have KY Corn Growers to help sponsor a meal for each county hosting. We also you speakers from Lexington and Princeton to help present. After the series was over producers took a survey were a lot would like to see this series a annual  program and gave topics of what they would like to see in upcoming programs giving by the extension service. This series hit 7,000 acres total that producers farm that attended this series.
