The Taylor County Farmers' Market is off to a wonderful start for the 2023 season. Total vendor count for the first half of the season is 11 and customer count is 952+. The spring festival had an increase this year from 62 last year to 133 customers. Each month an event has been scheduled to increase customer count. Upcoming events for the market throughout the season are a petting zoo, health fair, national farmers' market week celebration, fall festival, and more.
The farmers' market Facebook page has been doing very well this season too in spreading the word about the market. To date the market has 1,222 likes and 1,343 followers. Facebook lives have been praised. Each morning the Horticulture Agent or a 4-H youth does a walkthrough of all the vendor booths. Views this season have ranged from 407 - 150 per video.
The main goal for this season is vendor retention, and to have a customer count of over 2,000.
