The Garden Shed Herb is a long running program which began in 2001.  Attendance at this educational program has grown throughout the years with a record number in attendance in 2021 of 250 participants and 25 Master Gardener Volunteers.  With this being the largest number in attendance since it began and those participating coming from as far away as Cleveland, Ohio to learn about growing herbs and the many uses they have.  When the participants that had traveled from such a great distance why they came they replied that they had heard this was one of the best educational programs on herbs and they really loved the idea that there was a hands on activity as well as educational teaching.  But they said the best part was the meal that all dishes that were served had herbs as at least one of the ingredients and there was a cookbook with all those recipes for the dishes included in their registration.  They were excited to return back to their home and share the knowledge they had gathered with friends and one even held her own backyard herb day for friends and family.
