Author: Terence Clemons

Planning Unit: Bath County CES

Major Program: Leadership 4-H Core Curriculum

Plan of Work: Developing Leadership in Our Teens To Lead Tomorrow

Outcome: Initial Outcome

In the second year of reintegration of 4-H Club Work, within the Bath County School Districts, successes in various programming has seen growth.  Program Year 2016-2017 had over 500 youth participate in a least one school club setting.  For this current year, that number is closer to 600, with about 10-20% of those enrolled in other club delivery methods.  This program's year, has focused more on delivering educational lessons associated with what teachers are currently teaching.  Lessons from 6 of the 7 4-H Core Curriculum have been introduced, at least once, during a Club Meeting.  Teachers have reported the 4-H lessons have strengthened or introduced students to content that is key to mastery.  Through this experience, youth will continue to develop or strengthen Life Skills needed for life long success.
