Clark County was founded in 1792 from Bourbon and Fayette Counties. The county is in the Bluegrass Area Development District (BGADD) and the Bluegrass Tourism Region. The Greenup Quilt Guild has organized and facilitated a Quilt Show at Greenbo Lake State Resort Park for 30+ years.
