4-H Teen Conference

This year from Hardin County, 11 actively involved teens were able to attend and enjoy the annual 4-H Teen Conference held at the University of Kentucky campus.  The objectives of Kentucky 4-H Teen Conference were: develop leadership and teamwork skills, improve communication skills, foster civic engagement, expand knowledge and skills related to 4-H core content areas, gain club, county and state 4-H program skills, have fun, create a sense of belonging, expand social skills through networ

4-H Teen Leadership Academy

Major Program: Leadership 4-H Core Curriculum

In order to address the need for youth leadership at the county and district level, a collaborative effort by Hardin, Breckinridge, Grayson, LaRue and Meade counties was formed to conduct the eleventh year of the 4-H Teen Leadership Academy. The nine month program focused on developing teen participant’s leadership and communication skills. Through an application process, a total of 25 youth were selected for the 2018-2019 class.
