Community service and leadership by the Jefferson County Homemaker members have a major impact on the county and Extension Service program. Homemakers develop personal leadership skills through the organization and then lead in projects and programs throughout the county.In 2018, the Jefferson County Homemakers members reported a donation of over 19,923 volunteer hours at a value of $450,941.22 to local churches, schools, organizations, and Extension.
