With reduced farm commodity prices, crop insurance and the proper use of safety net programs from the USDA will be very important to farmers in Ballard County. The Farm Service Agency is prohibited from grower education programming so it makes sense to partner with them in providing grower and land owner education when the program of the new farm bill are announced
Farm Profitability will be maximized in regards to the new farm bill.
Growers and landowners will be protected from economic disaster with proper crop insurance.
Producers and landowners will sign up for new farm programs based on how their operations can be most successful.
Producers and landowners will purchase crop insurance based on the most economical protection for the operation
Producers and land owners will be made aware of their options with any new government farm programs
The basics of crop insurance and how to utilize it for maximum protection will be understood.
