Union County residents that responded to UK’s community assessment ranked life skills, financial management, and prevention of school violence as top priorities. The COVID-19 epidemic has changed lifestyles and added more need to address financial management.
Youth and adults will use skills learned from Extension to make decisions that impact personal relationships, financial management, and career development. Youth and adults will be better prepared financially by implementing Extension program information.
Use practical living skills in projects, business, and personal situations. Practice responsible consumer and financial decisions. Use basic financial management methods to prepare for the future. Teach others how to apply technology to their lives and businesses.
Understand financial terminology. Describe the decision making process. Develop technology skills. Identify sound financial decisions.

The Union County Early Childhood Council has host annual for the past 10 years, "The Mouse in the House" math/literacy event. The event in the past was held at the Union County High School with an average of 300 + preschoolers and families. Due to the pandemic in 2020, the annual WGBS was cancelled. For 2021 the group of community partners choose to continue with the annual World's Greatest Baby Shower but as a drive thru event.
