Building the capacity of volunteer leaders is critical for the sustainability of communities that support and strengthen families and the Clark County Community. The Clark County Extension Service is committed to engaging, educating and empowering local citizens to investigate issues, vocalize viewpoints, make responsible decisions, take ownership of solutions and contribute to a work-ready Clark County.

The Clark County 4-H Teen Leadership club heavily focuses on leadership and community service. The club officers begin with a strong foundation by attending a 4-H Leadership Officer training that delivers clearly defined expectations including how to lead by example and exercising servant leadership. In the years leading up to the current; Clark County schools had never taken NTI or Non-traditional instruction days. These are days that the school system has on reserve (usually up to 10) for the purposes of fulfilling missed school days without having to tack on extra days at the end of the school year.
