The Campbell County Horticulture Extension Program has a well-established Enabled Gardens Initiative. Enabled Demonstration gardens have been established at: the Lexington Arboretum, Ft. Thomas Veterans Administration Domiciliary, Lakeside Commons Educational Gardens, local high schools, and adult day care facilities. Horticulture has proven to be therapeutic for individuals suffering from mental and physical difficulties. Making this possible for all clientele is the goal of this program.
The Campbell County Enabled Garden Program will become a leading resource for individuals, care providers, institutions and hospitals to learn all facets of horticulture therapy.
