Supporting the Local Food and Agriculture Industry

According to the University of Kentucky Community Needs Assessment Survey results, strengthening/supporting the local food and agriculture industry is listed as a top priority indicator. The Hartig Park and Wildlife Reserve is now "Official"!

Funding for Hartig Park as always been an issue. It takes quite a bit of money to maintain and improve a park as large as Hartig; more money, in fact, than the Gallatin County Fiscal Court could possibly afford to provide. And even if supporters of the park wished to donate money to Hartig Park, there was no legal avenue by which they could do so.
