In Boyle County the Horticulture Agent and FCS Agent partner regularly on programming and outreach. In 2019, the Horticulture Agent partnered with Centre College to start a CSA for the employees of the college. Research is clear that a diet rich in fruits and vegetables can help protect against several chronic diseases, such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and some cancers.
