The department of Entomology extension team offered a webinar series during several weeks in October and December 2020. The objective of this event was to expand the knowledge of growers, CEA, and consultants on pest problems and management. Speakers included Drs. R. Villanueva (Tiny and Mighty Mites in High Tunnels and Greenhouses: Species and Management), R. Bessin (Pesticide Recommendations and Safety, and Veterinary pests), J. Larson (Upcoming Invasive Species, and Pollinators and Stinging Insects), Z. DeVries (Fall Invaders), and B. Newton (Teaching with Insects). These presentations were planned to provide attendees with useful information on pest management, and provide continuing education credits, service training, and pesticide applicator training to clientele. Audience was estimated on approximately 40 people per presentation making a total of 280 people for all 8 presentations.
