With the promise of in-person markets being open in Summer of 2020, many producers did not have website set up. Even fewer had an online store. However, when many markets did not open up in Summer 2020, many farms and businesses were left with few options. With assistance from the University of Kentucky Center for Crop Diversification, Emily Spencer assisted several producers in getting their online stores up and running in order to keep their business open during the COVID-19 pandemic. Customers were able to place orders and pick-up curbside at the farm or shop, rather than shop in-person at a time when these actions were largely unsafe. In addition, Brett Wolff created various online videos and print resources, detailing the basics of getting started with an online store and website.
