Senior Extension Associate led a team that submitted a Beginning Farmer and Rancher Development Program grant proposal in spring 2020.  In spring 2021, Covid-19 relief money allowed our approved proposal to be fully funded ($200,000 per year for 3 years).  This project will provide training, resources and networking support for farmers with less than 10 years' experience and specifically targets military veterans beginning agricultural careers.  Additionally, it will provide a colleague 100% FTE funding for 3 years.
