Field Day
Author: James Cecil
Planning Unit: Clinton County CES
Major Program: Leadership
Plan of Work: Developing Leadership, Life Skills and Social Responsibility
Outcome: Initial Outcome
Clinton County 4-H has been able to help with with Field Day at the Clinton County Middle School for years until last year and with the COVID-19 Pandemic we were not able to provide that service for the Middle School 4-Hers. We were so happy to have the privilege to be able to be involved with this event this year. I feel that it is important to be involved with our local school district and our 4-Hers are used to seeing Mrs. Linda and I so it makes it easy for us to help with this event. I enjoy seeing the 4-Hers take part and the events we had this year and we had Tug of War, Egg Toss, Timed Relay Race and Balloon Relay. We had a total of 268 Fifth thru Eight graders participate in Field Day. I feel it is important to see 4-Hers step up and lead small groups in events in all aspects of their lives. Whether it is in a class room or on the sports field it is important that our 4-Hers learn responsibility and leadership qualities.
