Community Leaders and Volunteers are important in building engaged and empowered communities.  Clay County Homemakers Mission is to improve the quality of life for families and communities through education, leadership development and volunteer service. Women are known leaders in their communities.   They can provide the needed incentives, influence, and leadership to improve the lives of their family, organizations and communities. The growth and well-being of the organization depends upon the leadership of the individuals in the organization. Clay County homemakers even through Covid have continued ? 100% contribution to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.  ?We currently have 3 homemaker clubs with 9 club officers and 48 members ? virtual and in person council meetings ? participated in leader's trainings virtually ? participated in Area Homemaker Councils virtually and in person ?served on the Extension Council and Board in person and virtual and ?Homemaker committees meet to conduct county business  ?as soon as allowed one club started meeting immediately ? one Area Chair,    ?Homemakers organized a successful outside County Annual Meeting with 29 in attendance with a Car Hop theme using FM transmission for sound. The Family and Consumer Science Agent has presented 5 leaders trainings virtually for homemakers and has had a total 419 views of all trainings through Facebook Live.  She has served as the Area Homemaker contact agent for 5 months in the absence of an agent in her county.
