During the pandemic community engagement and collaborations had been temporarily stagnant. OF course, this was due to many community partners uncertainty on collaborative efforts, community/youth programs, and in-person gatherings. This took a major toll on community partners that had already begun programming or inquired about programming in early 2021. In Spring 2021, as the state opened back up, I was able to reconnect at make new partnerships with community partners that already host our target audience. I was able to reconnect with the director of the SHawnee community Center. This center is located in a historic area of west end louisville,ky and is apart of the 14 community centers located throughout the city. This center is in need of agricultural activities as wella s STEM centered activities for the youth of the neighborhood. In July, I will be starting a STEM program focused on ozobots with youth from 5-18 at the Shawnee community center, this program is being done in efforts to engage the youth with interactive science activities that will spark their interest in STEM career fields.
