4-H is an organization reaching youth, ages 5-18 years old, from all walks of life all across America.  Members of the 4-H program can join clubs and projects where they can increase their knowledge, develop their skills and have opportunities to succeed.  One Warren County 4-H member took advantage of all that 4-H had to offer and now has a successful photography business where she shoots senior portraits, prom photos and wedding and engagement shoots.  Her business has been up and running for three years and she owes all that she has learned to the 4-H program.  Her photography interest started after she participated in the newspaper/photography workshop at KY 4-H Teen Summit as an 11 year old.  Over the years she progressed from basic cameras to more advanced cameras, took lots of pictures, entered photography projects in the county and state fair and took to heart all of the constructive criticism she learned along the way. From a written narrative where she applied for a position on the State Teen Council she quoted, “My business could not have been possible without the encouragement from my agents, Julie Brown and Janet Turley, I completely owe all of my success in photography to 4-H”.  This young lady is currently a freshman in college.  She has also participated in many leadership positions in 4-H including teaching a leadership workshop at KY 4-H Teen Conference and Teen Summit as well as being a delegate on the State 4-H Teen Council.
