Virtual Private Pesticide Applicator Certification Program
Author: T. Adam Probst
Planning Unit: Woodford County CES
Major Program: Chemical Management
Plan of Work: Environmental Quality
Outcome: Initial Outcome
Due to gathering restrictions from the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bourbon & Woodford County Extension Districts hosted a virtual workshop for producers to renew their Private Pesticide Applicator License. Virtual formats currently existed for new applicators, but there was a lack of resources for license renewals. Thirty-eight individuals were able to renew their licenses, with 15 from Woodford County. After the video training, participants were then tasked with stopping by their respective Extension Offices in order to pickup other required related materials with their license. The goals of reducing traffic in the office and recertifying as many producers as possible was achieved.
