Even though we have not been able to meet in person most of this past year, the Agriculture and Natural Resources Agents across the state as well as our specialists have worked hard to ensure that we are keeping clientele, stakeholders and other agents well informed about what is going on. An example of this would be the Central Kentucky Ag Lender's Conference that was held back in January for our community partners involved in ag lending to be a part of to get the most up to date information about various commodities and farm economics across the state.
This event is generally held in person for most of the day and with everything going on we decided to do this virtually from 9 am to 12 pm this year. We had 52 in attendance for our first ever virtual Ag Lender's Conference and had some great discussion as well throughout the morning. It wasn't the same attendance and discussion that happens when we are all in the same room with each other but with the circumstances at hand we couldn't have asked for a better turnout than what we had.
We are hopeful that 2022 will bring us back together but 2020 and 2021 has taught us how to adapt more so than we ever have and now we have the ability to offer more virtual options if we so choose to expand our programming efforts to even more people than in the past.
