During the month of February 2021, Kindergarten classes at JELV viewed the Healthy Habits video presentation by Karli Giles, the Extension Agent for Family & Consumer Sciences in Jessamine County. The presentation covered areas such as handwashing, proper facial masks use, and not spreading germs. 

Results from the program are listed below:

21 classes viewed the presentation

397 total students viewed

Children were asked the following questions before viewing the presentation. The percentage correct follow each question:

I should wash my hands before I eat. 386/397 or 97% responded correctly

This is the correct way to sneeze (do it the wrong way - basically fake sneeze and don’t cover your sneeze) 374/397 or 94% responded correctly

This is the correct way to wear a mask (wear it the wrong way, however you choose) 373/397 or 93.9% responded correctly
